About Me

The most important aspect of finding a doula is connection. So let me tell you a little more about myself.

I'm a mom of three, wife, doula, birth photographer, and registered nurse. I've enjoyed all three of my own birth experiences: two unmedicated hospital births and one home birth. My free time is mostly spent with my husband and our children. We all love the outdoors and try to go camping or hiking as often as we can. Being a mom is my greatest joy. I'm a Christian who loves God and finds daily peace in trusting Him.

After working as a nurse for over ten years, I left the bedside to spend more time with my family and became a doula. I eventually realized that working within the hospital system didn't allow me the time to care for people the way that I desired to. I love being able to work closely with expecting couples and provide encouragement and education throughout pregnancy and into postpartum.

I also love cooking from scratch, good live music, and playing the piano. I've seen every episode of The Office at least ten times. Oh and I'm usually working on some kind of home improvement project (or our recent RV project) with my husband! I love a good before and after.

My Approach

Becoming a mother is an incredible transition and I'm here to walk that walk with you. Throughout your pregnancy, I'll be there to answer questions, provide any resources you need, and help you understand what means the most to you.

Most importantly, I'll encourage you to trust yourself and your instincts.

During labor, I provide a calm and grounding presence while continually supporting you and assisting your partner in supporting you. In the postpartum period, I'm here for you to lean on. Postpartum is forever and even if it's been months since your birth, I'm always here for you.
